Jazz, blues and old time tunes

I sing with a duo, trio or quartet, ranging from bluegrass-inspired fiddle tunes to swing standards. Influences range from Bessie Smith and Maria Muldaur to Sarah Vaughan and Anita O'Day.

We perform regularly at venues and festivals across the UK. My first album, including a mix of instrumentation, was released in January 2020.

The Swing Commanders

The Swing Commanders perform across the UK and abroad, have recorded 4 albums and shared festival stages with the likes of The Jive Aces and Tuba Skinny. Dancers and country fans alike enjoy the mix of steel guitar and fiddle alongside boogie and jive from the 40s and 50s.

"If you've had a bad day, go and see The Swing Commanders. If you've had a good day, go and see The Swing Commanders. They are feel-good, foot-tapping and spirit-lifting. The arrangements are lively, upbeat and fun. This is how music should make you feel!" - North West End

Session Work

I have recorded for Mahogany Sessions, Radio 1's Live Lounge and Radio Wales as well as working remotely on tracks for international pop artists Olly Murs, Au/Ra and Last Breath. Working with recording and mixing engineer David Coyle, we arrange and record string parts for music artists and bands, sourcing extra players where needed.

Recitals and Lunchtime Concerts

Pianist Tom Kimmance and I perform much loved chamber music together. This year repertoire has included the Debussy violin sonata, Beethoven Spring Sonata and Heifitz's arrangements of Gershwin Porgy and Bess
